GET STARTED!
ANDROID USERS:
- BATTERY CHARGE – Charge the goggles for at least 4 hours.
- USER MANUAL – While you’re waiting, read our user manual.
- APP – Download our mobile app here.
- INSTALLATION – Follow the installation tutorial on the mobile app.
- RIDE! – Shred up the mountain.
iPHONE USERS:
- BATTERY CHARGE – Charge the goggles for at least 4 hours.
- USER MANUAL – While you’re waiting, read our user manual.
- APP – Our iOS app is still under development. But in the mean time, follow these instructions to get maps on your goggles.
- MAP INSTALLATION – Head to our list of available resorts – http://www.rideonvision.com/resorts.html. Instructions:
- Download the file from the link above (do not change its name or format).
- Place the file (resort.ro) in your rideon folder. To find this folder, head to the ACCESS YOUR RIDEON FOLDER instructions below.
- APPLY CHANGES – Turn goggles OFF and then back ON
- Long-Press the goggles’ ON/OFF button for more than 1 second.
- RIDE! – Shred up the mountain.
VIDEO DOWNLOAD (TO A COMPUTER):
If you’ve taken videos using your RideOn goggles, here’s how to transfer them to a computer.
- GOGGLES –Before connecting your goggles to a computer and uploading your videos, you must first:
- Make sure the goggles are ON and working.
- Click-press the ON/OFF button to turn the screen OFF (but keep the goggles running).
- CONNECT – You may now connect the goggles to your computer with micro USB.
- MAC USERS – Install the Android File Transfer Manager.
- PC (Windows) USERS – Goggles will appear as “nt32_arale” in “My Computer”.
- ACCESS VIDEO FILES – See the ACCESS YOUR RIDEON FOLDER instructions below.
- SHARE – Your videos with us. Send your video files and their respective log files to info@rideonvision.com, and we’ll overlay the AR graphics on your video to make a cool composite video for you.
- Share these videos with your friends. Use our hashtag, #RideOnAR
ACCESS YOUR RIDEON FOLDER:
MAC
- Pair goggles to app.
- Connect your goggles to your Mac.
- Open Android File Transfer (see instructions above).
- The following window will open.
- Double-click the ‘rideon’ folder.
- Drag all .mp4 and .log files to a folder in your computer.
- Watch your videos.
- Please send your .mp4 and .log files to info@rideonvision.com so we can improve your experience and make cool composite AR videos for you.
PC (Windows)
- Pair goggles to app.
- Connect your goggles to your PC. The following will appear:
- Select “Open device to view files”.
- Enter NAND FLASH.
- Enter ‘rideon’ folder.
Copy all .mp4 and .log files to a folder in your computer.
- Watch your videos.
